In moving to this new format, I hope to be able to share a number of thoughts about who we are as people (from a Christian worldview) as well as specific issues that may arise in treatment of issues that arise in my work.  Also, you will find various apologetics topics, that is, a rational defense of the Christian faith.  If Christianity is true, and I believe that it is (and can be shown to be true) then optimal treatment of emotional issues should be informed by an accurate understanding of God's world.  I look forward to communicating more through writings on my new site.

Just a quick thought: I still have much information to transfer, so you may not find what you are looking for at the moment.  If you need to reach me, please give me a call at the office at (205)871-7166 and leave a message.

The structure of this software allows easy blog-style entries, and so it will be much easier to share thoughts and ideas as they occur to me.  Quite frequently during a therapy session I will think of a good way to make a point, and then it seems to have applicability towards others as well.  These brief vignettes may be shared in a way to maintain patient privacy, yet convey ideas that may be useful for others.

A substantial part of my work is treating people with addictions, and it is apparent that there are a number of common features or related issues that people struggle with.  Over the years, many of these ideas have been conveyed during sessions, but I will begin to share some of these in writings as well.

Please be patient during this site 'roll out'!
